Chris Parry joined our QK team in the late summer of 2018 after leaving the confinements of office life. After long hours spent behind a computer all week it was time for him to chase a passion of his… training and working over gun dogs.
Chris’s love for the outdoors started when he was young. He grew up fishing for trout and striped bass along the southern Rhode Island fisheries. Chris got into hunting in his teens and grew fond of chasing whitetails in the fall and Canadian Geese in the winter.
It wasn’t until he brought home his first dog, a Birch Hill Brittany named River that he found his real passion…gun dogs and upland Hunting. In the fall, you can find Chris deep in the North Woods of New Hampshire with his two dogs chasing grouse and woodcock and back up north in the spring to the same woods going after wild rainbow trout with his fly rod on the CT river. Chris brought home his second birddog two years ago, Bennett, a German Shorthaired Pointer. Chris’s goals are to promote and pass along the fine tradition of upland hunting to the next generation. He cares deeply about the conservation of land and healthy land management. Chris is bringing his leadership skills and strong work ethic to QK’s team of trainers taking the new position as Dog Training Manager. Additionally, Chris is diligently working alongside QK Owner Jennifer Broome mentoring to master his craft of training gun dogs. He has also had the opportunities to work alongside our QK mentor Rick Smith of Hunt Smith for several Foundation and Intermediate Clinics from New York to Maine and Ohio.
